Opening Your X-Ray Images
Genesis Software
If Auto Play is enabled, dialog opens automatically:
- Run Omnivue.exe
- Click to start Simple Viewer
- Double click on patient’s name
- Use the arrows at the top right to go between multiple images
If Auto Play is disabled:
- Go to My Computer and select CD/DVD drive, the disc is titled Genesis
- Scroll down and run (double click) the application “OmniSV”
- Double click on patient’s name
- Use the arrows at the top right to go between multiple images
Image Suite Software
If Auto Play is enabled, dialog opens automatically:
- Run StartPatientCD
If Auto Play is disabled:
- Go to My Computer
- Double Click DVD RW Drive
Bensonhurst Patients Only
If Auto Play is enabled, dialog opens automatically:
- Click open to view files
- Click on PD Viewer
- Click on PD View
If Auto Play is disabled:
- Go to My Computer and select CD/DVD drive
- Scroll down and run (double click) the application “PDI”
- Click on PD Viewer
- Click on PD View
If you are unable to open the viewer manually:
Import into your own Viewer following your software’s instructions.
The images are saved in DICOM format on the CD.
MAC users:
You can install a free MAC DICOM image viewer: http://www.escape.gr/dicom/emvmac.html or http://www.osirix-viewer.com/
What is a DICOM file?
DICOM is a standard image file saved in the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine format for medical images.
