Dr. Christina Johns is the Senior Medical Advisor and Vice President of Communications for PM Pediatrics. In her role as Vice President of Communications, Dr. Johns oversees public relations and external communications, including social and traditional media, all clinical communications, as well as corporate communications initiatives. As Senior Medical Advisor, she serves as the face of PM Pediatrics, responsible for sharing a wealth of pediatric expertise with patients and families everywhere. Dr. Johns has extensive national and local media experience including TV, radio, online, and print. She has been a regular medical contributor on ABC News’ Good Morning America and has had multiple appearances as a medical expert on a variety of CNN and Discovery Health shows. She hosted Doctors Call, a medical talk show for Clear Channel Radio, and has written interactive blogs for local newspapers and health websites including The Annapolis Capitol and Discovery Health. In addition, she served as a spokesperson for SafeKids Worldwide on behalf of child advocacy on Capitol Hill. Dr. Johns received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and her medical training at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. After completing her Pediatric residency at Johns Hopkins, she moved to Washington, D.C. for a postdoctoral fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Children’s National Medical Center. She continued on the faculty at the George Washington University School of Medicine working as an attending physician and assistant division chief in the Emergency Medicine and Trauma Center at Children’s National for 15 years. During that time obtained a master’s degree in education from the George Washington University School of Education.
