Anne Butler, MD, FAAP
Dr. Anne Butler is the Medical Director of PM Pediatrics of Forest Hills, where she oversees all medical operations for the practice. Before becoming a Director, she worked as a lead physician at PM Pediatrics in Brooklyn. Prior to joining PM Pediatrics, Dr. Butler was the Assistant Medical Director of the Pediatrics Emergency Department at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan where she served as an attending physician for more than 13 years. She also served as a Faculty member of St. Joseph Mercy Hospital’s Emergency Medicine Residency Program (in conjunction with the University of Michigan) for more than 7 years, and served as an Adjunct Physician Instructor at the University of Michigan’s Department of Emergency Medicine for 3 years.
Dr. Butler has received numerous teaching awards from the Emergency Department and Department of Pediatrics and Communicable Diseases at the University of Michigan. Throughout her professional career, Dr. Butler has been involved with the system-wide development and enhancement of electronic medical records with a focus on pediatric emergency medicine. She is a published author of an epidemiologic study “Racial Differences in the Prevalence of Small-for-Dates Infants Among College-Educated Women,” in addition to a contributing author of the Michigan toolkit for pediatric disaster preparedness. She also served as an Advisory Committee Member and Pediatrics Subcommittee member of the Michigan Region 2 South Bio-Defense Network for disaster preparedness. Dr. Butler is board certified in Pediatrics. She completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Memorial Hospital, Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. She earned her medical degree at Northwestern University Medical School and received her Bachelors degree in Biochemistry from University of Notre Dame.
