If you have any questions related to this appointment, please call your testing location and follow the prompt. Our testing is for children and adults, including first responders and healthcare workers of all ages.
A receptionist will contact you between 9AM – 8PM EST time to complete a registration and to schedule an appointment testing. This scheduling can only occur if you have already seen a provider at PM Pediatrics and a test has been ordered in our system. This can be initiated after an in-person visit to a PM Pediatrics location or after a virtual visit on pmpanywhere.com. If you have not received a call after day 2 to schedule your time slot, please call 516-207-7925.
Please arrive to the designated testing location 10 minutes prior to your scheduled time slot. Please remain in your vehicle, call the office phone number and follow the prompt to let us know you’ve arrived. A member of our team will call you when it is time to exit your car for testing and give you any additional instructions. We are doing our best to adhere to appointment times, but please be aware that there may be a wait. When called, be sure to turn off your vehicle and proceed directly to the testing area. Keep at least a 6-feet distance from others. Find address information for your designated testing site here.
We are using different collection methods in various regions based on local laboratory protocols – nasopharyngeal (deep nose) swab, nasal self-swab (nostril), or oropharyngeal (throat) swab. A member of our team will verify the patient’s name and date of birth. A member of our team will be in protective gear, which may include a mask, eye shield, gloves, and gown. Our team may require your help holding your child to insert the swab. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Test results are expected within 3-7 days. Please note, due to high testing volumes nationwide, lab results may take longer than expected. Please contact the office where you were tested for more information about your individual test.
If you have symptoms, it is important that all household members remain in isolation and everyone in the home continues to monitor for symptoms. The Center for Disease Control recommends that the patient remains separated as much as possible from others.
If any other household members develop symptoms, they should call their primary care doctor for guidance or schedule a virtual visit with PM Pediatrics Anywhere to determine if they are eligible for testing. If the patient has a medical emergency, call 911 and notify them that the patient has COVID-19 testing pending.
Please do not have visitors come to your home during this time. Perform frequent hand hygiene, washing hands thoroughly for 20 seconds. Avoid sharing household items, and clean frequently touched surfaces often.
If you are age 0-26 and have any other urgent care concerns, download our PM Pediatrics Anywhere app to schedule a virtual appointment with one of our pediatric experts. Get expert care and treatment for a variety of common pediatric illnesses without leaving your home.
