Dr. Jennifer Weber is the Director of Behavioral Health for PM Pediatrics’ new and innovative Teletherapy Program. She is involved in the development and the execution of the clinical elements of the program, including managing therapists and other staff, teaching, supervising, and performing administrative tasks. A child and adolescent psychologist specializing in trauma, identity-development, mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, and adjustment disorders, Dr Weber also provides therapy to the children, adolescents, and emerging adults PM Pediatrics’ new program serves.
Prior to joining PM Pediatrics, Dr Weber served as Clinical Manager for the large community-based outpatient mental health clinic of Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens. After completing her undergraduate degree in Psychology and American Studies at Brandeis University, Dr Weber focused her studies on human development and the trajectory of mental illness as well as on the development and implementation of successful interventions. She received her Masters of Education in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard Graduate School of Education and her Masters of Science in Society, Human Development, and Health from Harvard School of Public Health.
Dr Weber started her professional career working for Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan as Coordinator of the newly established Communication Skills Research and Training Laboratory and later as Administrative Manager of the Integrative Medicine Center. Deciding the best way to make a lasting impact would be to become a clinician herself, Dr Weber left her position to enroll in the Combined Clinical Child-School Psychology program at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology of Yeshiva University in the Bronx where she received her Doctor of Psychology degree. She completed an APA-accredited internship in foster care. With an eye towards lifespan development, she completed her postdoctoral fellowship in geriatrics.
Dr Weber looks forward to having a role in developing and tailoring the Teletherapy Program to suit the evolving needs of the patients PM Pediatrics serves.
