PM Pediatrics Names Michael C. Bachman, MD, MBA, Regional Medical Director of PM Pediatrics for New Jersey Region

PM Pediatrics, a preeminent provider of after-hours pediatric urgent care in New York, is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael C. Bachman, M.D. as a Regional Medical Director for PM Pediatrics. In his newly created position, Dr. Bachman will be responsible for leading the development of PM Pediatrics locations in New Jersey, ensuring consistency and excellence, overseeing education and training, as well as clinical operations and quality initiatives for future sites in the region.

“Dr. Bachman comes to us with years of top-level experience in pediatric emergency medicine and we are thrilled to have him at the helm of our company’s expansion into New Jersey,” said Dr. Jeffrey Schor, founder of PM Pediatrics. “His medical management expertise and career-long dedication to improving pediatric clinical care make Dr. Bachman a perfect fit for PM Pediatrics and our commitment to providing world-class healthcare to each and every patient.”

Prior to joining PM Pediatrics, Dr. Bachman was the Medical Director of Pediatric Emergency Services at Sunrise Children’s Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. Prior to that, he served in a leadership capacity at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in New Jersey where he initiated and oversaw the Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship. Dr. Bachman is active in the medical community on a national level and was previously the Secretary of the Pediatric Emergency Medicine section of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He completed his pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. following his pediatric residency at Schneider Children’s Hospital in New Hyde Park, NY. Dr. Bachman earned his medical degree from Sackler School of Medicine in Israel after earning his B.S. from Tulane University in New Orleans. He also has an M.B.A. from The George Washington University School of Business and Public Management.

Dr. Bachman’s new role comes on the heels of PM Pediatrics’ recently announced placement on Inc. magazine’s annual Inc. 500|5000 list of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. PM Pediatrics was the only pediatric urgent-care provider to make this year’s national list. Additionally, PM Pediatrics was selected as one of Modern Healthcare‘s Best Places to Work in Healthcare in 2011—one of only three New York-based companies to make the national list.
